We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our established team, dedicated to creating an environment that fosters swift, continuous, and enjoyable delivery of high-value features. As the most senior member of the team, you will lead architectural decisions, set development guidelines, and ensure the optimal performance of our services.

WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU?

  • partner with product teams, learn from them and understand the challenges they face, e.g. by embedding into teams
  • research and engineer approaches to improve developer satisfaction and increase developer velocity
  • spanning the entire process of designing, building, testing, deploying, releasing, and monitoring
  • areas cover release task automation, testing automation (Performance, end2end, etc.)
  • provide and promote TDD, best practices, new tools, trainings as enablement
  • lead cross-team and -tribe initiatives
  • technical mentor for the team, help improve teams engineering culture, e.g. defining best practices, tech debt, pair programming, etc
  • Mentor and coach other engineers in our tribe

WHAT IS OUR TECH STACK?

  • Infrastructure based on Azure ecosystem
  • Kubernetes & Docker
  • Micro-services written in Kotlin and Java
  • Micro-frontend written in Angular
  • API technologies such as GraphQL and REST
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Modern CI/CD toolchains (e.g. Github Actions, Feature Toggling) allowing us to ship multiple times a day
  • Monitoring & Alerting, e.g. Instana
  • Product Usage Tracking using Amplitude

You bring in the following experience:

  • software engineering experience in delivering products, understand product teams, help fellow engineers to achieve efficiency
  • opinionated on development processes and best practices, optimize and automate them
  • (staff) leadership and mentoring experience, has been a role model for engineers
  • strategic and tactical mindset, break down work in increments
  • understand the value of writing technical documentation, guidelines, and standards
  • Value feedback and working in a fun and professional environment
