Senior Backend Engineer Data-Intensive Applications

Fingerprint is seeking a senior backend engineer to strengthen the team, developing the device identification API serving around 1 billion requests per month with the best accuracy on the market.
We are interested in a fresh perspective on the technological problems in the field where we have to find patterns in high amounts of noisy data and help empower other developers to build safe and seamless online services via fast, reliable, scalable, distributed API.
What you will be doing:
- Taking responsibility for end-to-end development of Identification API together with a team of several seasoned engineers, which includes architectural design, implementation, and long-term support of both product features and incremental improvements of accuracy and performance of algorithms underneath.
- Communicating time estimates, issues, and technological challenges in a collaborative setting
- Solve problems of relatively complex scope through general usage of standard programming concepts and principles, and application of own judgment
What you will need to be successful
- BS/MS in CS or related field
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience developing high-scale web backend systems
- Hands-on experience in building distributed systems – not solely responsible for architecture, but also for writing code.
- Excellent English - both written and verbal communication
Nice to Have
- Production experience with Golang, AWS stack, and key-value storages like DynamoDB and Redis.
- Experience using Data Analytics stack, column-based storages like Clickhouse, Data Visualisation like Apache Superset,
- Experience with Data-intensive applications like anti-fraud systems, recommender systems, computational advertising, marketing analytics, informational retrieval, and fuzzy search.

Due to regulatory and security reasons, there’s a small number of countries where we cannot have Fingerprint teammates based. Additionally, because Fingerprint is an all-remote company and people can join our workforce from almost any country, we do not sponsor visas.
