About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in C# and modern backend architecture patterns. This role focuses on building scalable, efficient, and reliable backend services to support EveryWatch’s growing platform and user base.
As a senior member of the backend team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust APIs, processing large volumes of watch-related data, integrating with third-party services, and ensuring high system performance and security. You will play a key role in shaping the backend infrastructure and guiding best practices within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core.
- Optimize backend processes and data pipelines to ensure performance and reliability for large datasets.
- Integrate with external data sources, APIs, and services to aggregate watch market data.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and deliver backend solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
- Define and enforce backend coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve backend architecture and workflows.
- 10+ years of backend development experience with C# and .NET (preferably .NET Core).
- Proven experience building scalable APIs and distributed backend systems.
- Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with asynchronous processing, micro-services, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deploying and scaling backend services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
- Strong ability to lead a team.
