About the Role
Cognizo is on a mission to help companies understand and improve their AI visibility. We are building the ultimate digital marketing platform to give brands a clear edge in the AI era.
As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining features that are core to our operation. You’ll also help define and lead our back-end architecture. This is a unique opportunity to build within a brand new tech space and have a direct influence on the evolution of Cognizo’s platform.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the back-end architecture of Cognizo’s platform.
- Design and build new customer-facing features and core platform functionality.
- Develop and integrate third-party APIs, particularly with language models and web scraping tools.
- Work with open-source tools and systems.
- Conduct research-driven development in AI search analytics and optimization.
- Collaborate closely in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with PSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Language models
- Web scraping
- High throughput, write-heavy systems
- Experience using open-source systems and tools.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the back-end domain.
- Previous experience with unit testing.
- Strong communication skills in a fast-moving team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) or model providers.
- Familiarity with component design systems.
- Experience with NLP libraries or related AI technologies.
