Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team and work on
scalable, high-performance production systems.
The role focuses on backend development, system architecture, performance
optimization, and distributed systems, with opportunities to take ownership of important
technical components and mentor other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using PHP and Laravel.
● Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
● Design and optimize MySQL databases, queries, indexes, and data models.
● Develop asynchronous and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka.
● Work with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
● Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Graylog and other observability tools.
● Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
● Participate in system architecture and technical design decisions.
● Conduct code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level developers.
● Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams

● 5+ years of professional backend/software development experience.
● Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel.
● Strong MySQL knowledge, including query optimization, indexing, and database design.
● Practical experience with Kafka or similar message/event streaming systems.
● Experience building and maintaining high-traffic production systems.
● Solid understanding of REST APIs, system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
● Hands-on experience with AWS.
● Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
● Good English communication skills.

● Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
