Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Demonstrate capability in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large-scale cloud-native applications using Node.js;
• Design and implement highly performant RESTful APIs and data processing pipelines for mobile, web, and 3rd party integrations;
• Build scalable backend services using modern Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS, Fastify);
• Maintain relentless focus on the qualitative aspects of backend services including performance, scalability, observability, reliability, and security;
• Work with asynchronous programming patterns and event-driven architectures;
• Participate in technical architecture discussions and contribute to key technical decisions;
• Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously in a cross-functional team environment.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience;
• 5+ years of professional software development experience;
• Strong experience building robust backend services and REST APIs using Node.js;
• Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar;
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, Promises, async/await, and event loop;
• Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL – e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB);
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP);
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies – JavaScript, TypeScript;
• Understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles (CI/CD, Docker, etc.);
• Passion for software development, emerging technologies, and innovation culture;
• Positive mindset and can-do attitude;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
