As a Software Automatic Test Equipment Engineer, you will design, develop, integrate, and validate automated test equipment for electronic assemblies and radar systems. Own the ATE lifecycle from requirements and architecture through detailed design, qualification, and production handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Define ATE hardware requirements, architecture, and equipment specifications.
- Design test fixtures, interface boards, switching circuits, cable assemblies, and rack-level interconnections.
- Select and integrate measurement instruments, power supplies, DAQ modules, and control equipment.
- Prepare schematics, wiring diagrams, interface definitions, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Lead hardware bring-up, integration, debugging, and design verification.
- Develop Python and LabVIEW tools for instrument control, hardware validation, and automated measurements.
- Define and execute acceptance tests, station correlation, and measurement-repeatability checks.
- Investigate test-system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support production deployment, maintenance documentation, and engineering changes.
- Coordinate hardware interfaces with software, system engineering, mechanical engineering, and production teams.
Mandatory
- B.Sc. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in ATE hardware development, test-equipment design, or multidisciplinary electronic-system development.

- Hands-on experience integrating laboratory instruments and troubleshooting electronic hardware.
- Python: mandatory hands-on experience in instrument control, test automation, and measurement-data processing.
- LabVIEW: mandatory hands-on experience in developing, modifying, and debugging hardware-control and test applications.
- Experience with communication interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, serial, SPI, and I²C.
- Ability to independently lead development from requirements through validated hardware delivery.
- Strong technical documentation skills and technical English.
Advantages
- RF and radar test-system experience.
- Proven experience designing analog/digital circuits, interface boards, and test fixtures.
- Experience with schematic-capture tools and supporting PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and bring-up.
- Experience with RF switching, attenuation, power measurements, and calibration.
- Experience with NI hardware, DAQ, PXI, and NI-VISA.
- Experience designing test racks, chamber interfaces, interlocks, and safety circuits.
- Familiarity with ATP/ATR, Golden Units, station correlation, and Gauge R&R.
- Experience with configuration management, PLM, Git, and controlled engineering releases.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and improving test-system reliability and maintainability.
