Position Summary

The Senior Associate, Travel & Expense will play a key role in managing global travel and expense operations, with a primary focus on Europe and Asia. This role supports employees across multiple regions, manages corporate card programs, partners with travel agencies, and drives continuous improvement across travel and expense processes. This role will report to the Senior Director, Travel and Expense who is US based.

Responsibilities 

  • Work alongside and manage travel agency partners and other service providers across EMEA and APAC to support booking processes, resolve issues, and improve traveler experience.
  • Analyze travel and expense data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Conduct local and regional training sessions for employees on travel and expense policies, tools, and best practices
  • Work as main point of contact to support the administration of the AMEX Corporate card program for EMEA and APAC employees including card issuance, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with Executive Assistants to receive feedback and ensure the travel program is running smoothly and seamlessly and to identify opportunity for improvement.
  • Work with the Workday Support team to identify and implement areas for system improvement, automation, and additional efficiencies
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and regional requirements
  • Review expense reports for employees to ensure adherence to the travel and expense policy
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting related to travel spend, expense compliance, and corporate card usage
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, Procurement) to enhance travel and expense processes

Qualifications 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Expense preferred
  • Experience managing corporate card programs, preferably AMEX
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple regions and time zones
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Background in finance operations, expense management, or shared services
  • Ability to work independently and apply existing knowledge to solve new problems
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
