What You Will Be Doing:

Our team is seeking a Senior Associate with client experience and healthcare communications expertise to serve as a counselor to our clients for one of our longest-standing biotech accounts. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for supporting strategic integrated communications activities and advising healthcare clients. You will be a conceptual thinker with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, and an eagerness to learn and collaborate. You are proactive when coordinating projects and managing timelines and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

In addition, you should have an agency background in healthcare communications with experience working on pharmaceutical products and/or disease education programs, as well as knowledge of the media landscape and considerations in this space. The ideal candidate will have broad interest in the full remit of healthcare communications, including digital, earned media, data and regulatory milestones, and unbranded disease awareness programming. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a specific interest and experience in social content development.

 

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage client social media content, including editorial calendar planning, drafting copy, managing reviews, scheduling/posting approved posts and results reporting
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact for corporate social content with the oversight of digital specialists
  • Coordinate among interdisciplinary team of research, creative, digital and media strategists, and ensure all activities you are leading are moving forward so deadlines are met
  • Support planning and material development around client announcements for regulatory milestones and medical meetings; lead development of media monitoring reports for these announcements
  • Manage client status reports, including materials trackers, media trackers, and website analytics trackers
  • Set and meet campaign measurement and evaluation criteria
  • Identify training and development needs of junior staff and provide opportunities that enable staff members to reach their full potential
  • Assist in financial management for clients, including development of invoices and activity reports

 

 What We Are Looking For:

  • Fluency and/or familiarity with digital and social media
  • Familiarity with data and regulatory milestone communications
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
  • Budgeting and financial management skills
  • Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
  • Industry experience in healthcare communications and/or pharmaceuticals

 

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in public relations at an agency or corporate in-house (healthcare experience required)
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
  • Be a self-starter who works well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, or in a related field

NYC Salary range: $68,000 - $78,000

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
