Institutional Transaction Banking (ITB) plays a critical role in supporting the Group’s strategy by delivering financial insights, operational excellence, and strategic outcomes across the organisation.

Within ITB, the CITB Service Excellence team is focused on driving consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across Transaction Banking services. Sitting within this team, the Risk & Change function is central to strengthening the control environment, uplifting risk culture, and enabling safe, effective frontline operations.

Your impact

As a Senior Associate Risk & Change, you will be at the heart of how Transaction Banking Services (TBS) manages risk and navigates change.

You’ll partner closely with frontline teams, Line 1 and Line 2 Risk, and key stakeholders to ensure controls are effective, risks are proactively managed, and regulatory change is embedded seamlessly.

Key responsibilities include:

Governance & Controls

  • Support the ongoing management and uplift of the TBS control environment

  • Perform quality assurance reviews and analyse control performance trends

  • Contribute to Control Assessment Program (CAP) testing and outcomes

  • Review and enhance control frameworks, procedures, and operating models

Risk Management

  • Analyse incidents, identify root causes, and support remediation activities

  • Identify emerging risks and control gaps across processes, systems, and people

  • Drive a proactive and embedded risk culture across frontline teams

Change & Transformation

  • Assess and support implementation of regulatory and business-driven change

  • Ensure risk impacts are understood and managed during transformation

  • Contribute to simplifying and improving control processes or implementation of new controls.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with frontline, product, and risk teams to improved customer outcomes

  • Support risk forums with insights, reporting, and management information

We’re interested in hearing from you if you bring:

  • Strong risk expertise with experience in controls, incidents, CAP testing, and governance frameworks

  • A proactive risk mindset, with the ability to identify and act on emerging risks

  • Change management experience, particularly in process improvement and control optimisation

  • Analytical capability, including root cause analysis and solution development

  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to challenge and improve

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
