Senior Associate, Retail AML (Hybrid)
As a Senior Associate in Capital One's Retail AML Programs and Strategy Team, you will apply your business process experience and analytical skills to our highest profile AML processes, including the Know Your Customer (KYC) process and Customer Identification Program (CIP). Working independently, and as a part of a team, you will develop and implement solutions to ensure Capital One's continued stability and success. Senior Associates on the Retail AML Programs and Strategy Team build AML knowledge while leveraging their process management, project management, and communication skills. In an open, collaborative environment, where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded, you will partner with your teammates to execute well managed processes and drive organizational change to better manage the Company's key risks. You must be a champion for continuous improvement, be adaptive and inclusive, have a passion for process and risk management, and be comfortable operating in an agile environment to be successful in this role.
What you will do:

• Collaborate with Retail Bank and second line partners to maintain compliance with AML requirements through periods of change
• Support first line management of engagements with internal audits, regulatory exams, and independent testing
  
  • Execute well-managed processes
  • Manage response timelines
  • Work across complex stakeholder map
• Enhance processes owned by Retail AML team
• Support program management by tracking initiative status, analyzing risk event data, and managing annual updates to the Retail AML Procedure

• Learn how Retail processes and systems work together to meet AML requirements
• Gain exposure to core risk management activities like audits, exams, and issue management
• Build a network across the Retail Bank

Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office and the remainder of the week working virtually.
Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 1 year of experience with project or process management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or Military Experience
• 2+ years of experience with project or process management
• 1+ year of experience in Risk Management
• 2+ years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership and non-leadership audiences
• 1+ year of experience in change management
