Position Summary
Land-focused management, planning and reporting role for onshore wind development pipeline projects.
Part of the PMO, will work primarily with internal stakeholders such as Land, Development and Engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting of land acquisition activities, improvement of land management system, as well as general support of PMO team’s other project management tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Track and monitor progress of land acquisition process (executed by Land & Development teams): Advise and assist execution teams to maintain target objectives (ie. vs schedule, budget, etc.)
Coordinate and process information from Land / Development team into reports for internal stakeholders: Ad-hoc or regular reports (incl. maps & numbers tally), Support & liaison on due diligence process (eg. with external legal counsels for project finance)
Work with internal stakeholders to improve the land management / record keeping system: Standardised land list / database format roll-out across the pipeline
PMO team support (secondary): Support other PMO team members in non-land tasks
Essential for this role
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- Real estate or land acquisition / management-related roles
- Experience overseas or in multinational company / environment
- Knowledge of Japanese real estate system (登記)
- Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Google Earth proficiency
- Business level English & Japanese
- Able to process large volumes of data from inter-disciplinary team into concise reports for various stakeholders (incl. senior management)
- Able to work independently quickly
Good to have
- Project management
- Experience in power or renewable energy sector (Japan or overseas)
- CAD or GIS (mapping) software
- Use or creation of land database
- Knowledge of permitting process for forestry land and/or power plant projects in Japan
- Strong communication, management & organisational skills
