As a Senior Associate within Connected Commerce Banking Payments, you will help product-manage the planning, build, and delivery of new (or existing) shared services that will support consistent servicing experiences across multiple payment products and channels for Chase's Banking Payment products. You will partner closely with a US-based engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to modernize legacy patterns into modular, highly available services with strong controls and production readiness.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with product leaders and a NY-based engineering squad to shape strategy, roadmap, and delivery plans for a shared payments servicing capability used by multiple teams.
- Drive discovery and refinement using AI-assisted workflows (e.g., synthesizing inputs, accelerating requirements exploration, drafting PRDs/user stories, and improving documentation quality and traceability).
- Define, prioritize, and clarify epics, features, and user stories; ensure acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements (resiliency, observability, performance) are clear and testable.
- Maintain a healthy backlog and provide transparent, executive-ready updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed.
- Collaborate with Agility Leads to run effective Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coordinate release readiness activities, including pre-release reviews, regression/UAT support, release certification, and post-release production validation.
- Partner with developers, operations, and production management to triage and resolve issues/defects that impact end-to-end payment experiences.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and support onboarding/adoption of shared APIs/services while minimizing disruption to existing product roadmaps.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience in product management, platform/service delivery, financial services technology, or relevant project/program roles.
- Experience delivering payments or transaction products that require coordination across multiple systems and stakeholders, including servicing and maintenance flows (e.g., set up, inquiry, edits, exceptions).
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve product discovery, planning, documentation, and/or delivery execution (e.g., requirements synthesis, story drafting, analysis, release planning support).
- Strong ability to translate business outcomes into clear, testable requirements; proven effectiveness as an interface between business and technical teams.
- Working knowledge of modern architectures and delivery practices: APIs, microservices, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), databases, CI/CD, and production readiness concepts (monitoring, alerts, runbooks).
- Agile delivery experience and proficiency with tools such as JIRA/JIRA Align, Confluence (and similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting status, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience building shared platform utilities consumed by multiple product teams (API products, internal platforms, shared services).
- Familiarity with payment lifecycle concepts and operational controls (exceptions/returns, data quality, resiliency).
- Experience supporting phased modernization/migration approaches and multi-team delivery models
