The Senior Associate, Product Design is responsible for designing intuitive, high-quality digital experiences across Amplify Health’s products. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate user needs and business objectives into thoughtful, user-centered solutions.
The Senior Associate contributes across discovery, design, and delivery, applying strong product thinking, visual and interaction design skills, and systems thinking to solve complex problems. Operating as a hands-on individual contributor, this role balances craft excellence with practical execution, ensuring designs are usable, scalable, and aligned with established design standards and product goals.Responsibilities

1) Problem Framing & Discovery

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Design teammates to understand problem statements and success criteria.

  • Translate user feedback, research findings, and business goals into clear, user-centered design challenges.

  • Contribute to discovery activities by exploring user needs, assumptions, and constraints.

  • Ensure design solutions are informed by real user and operational insights.

2) Domain & Workflow Design

  • Build a strong understanding of key domains, user roles, permissions, and workflows.

  • Design user flows and journeys for defined features or workflows, considering dependencies and edge cases.

  • Balance usability, technical constraints, and scalability within assigned problem spaces.

3) Design as Product Thinking

  • Approach design work with an understanding of product goals and user outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify experiences, improve clarity, and reduce friction.

  • Articulate design decisions, trade-offs, and user impact to product partners.

  • Advocate for user needs within given business and delivery constraints.

4) Visual, Interaction & Design Systems

  • Apply system-level thinking to ensure consistency across platforms and products.

  • Contribute to and help maintain the design system, including components, patterns, and usage guidelines.

  • Ensure parity between design files and coded components, safeguarding system integrity.

  • Maintain high standards for interaction, visual, and UI design.

5) Research, Validation & Iteration

  • Participate in research and usability testing activities to validate designs.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design improvements.

  • Iterate designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and delivery teams.

  • Support experimentation and learning through prototypes and testing.

6) Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data partners throughout discovery and delivery.

  • Clearly communicate design rationale, assumptions, and trade-offs.

  • Use design artifacts (flows, wireframes, prototypes) to support alignment and decision-making.

  • Engage constructively in design critiques, giving and receiving thoughtful feedback.

7) Quality & Delivery Oversight

  • Maintain high standards for UX, UI, interaction design, accessibility, and overall design quality.

  • Review work for consistency with principles, patterns, and standards.

  • Balance speed and polish to ship high-quality experiences.

8) AI-Assisted Design Exploration

  • Use AI tools responsibly to support idea generation, exploration, and iteration where appropriate.

  • Apply judgment to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs.

  • Stay informed about emerging AI-assisted design practices and tools.

Candidate ProfileExperience and Qualifications
  • Over 5 years experience in product design - UX/UI.

  • Strong interaction, visual, and systems design capabilities.

  • Experience designing both B2C journeys and data‑intensive B2B workflows.

  • Good data literacy, including comfort with metrics, data structures, dashboards, tables, and visualizations.

  • Proficiency in Figma; familiarity with Miro, Storybook, Jira, Confluence, and Agile processes.

  • Ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable, user‑centered experiences.

  • Knowledge of accessibility principles and inclusive design practices.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management and cross‑functional alignment skills.

  • Familiarity with usability testing, validation methods, and evidence-based design.

  • Experience with AI‑assisted design tools is beneficial.

  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Design, HCI or related field.
