The Role

The Points Guy is seeking an experienced Paid Media, Senior Associate to help us establish and oversee the strategy and execution across growth marketing channels. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns will drive core business growth objectives. At The Points Guy, we believe in making your everyday spending work for you. We strive to help our audience make the most of points and miles. This role will encompass building and evolving our Paid Media strategy for our flagship credit cards and travel brand. Being a Senior Associate at TPG allows you to work alongside experts in the travel industry, support the largest credit card issuer brands and being a voice in decision making for our brand. The paid media industry is ever-evolving and TPG strives to be at the forefront. 

Please note this is a hybrid role where the expectation will be to be in-person Tuesday through Thursday each week in either our South Charlotte or New York office space with ability to WFH on Mondays/Fridays.

  • Deep understanding and experience across paid channels (native, search, social, display, direct media buys) with experience developing campaign strategies from inception to execution.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance in paid platforms, as well as internal reporting and visualization tools.
  • Identify growth levers and opportunity areas, analyze their relevance, and perform competitive analysis.
  • Accurately pace daily paid media budgets with a focus on identifying growth.
  • Design, create, and report on A/B or multivariant tests to drive improvements across all KPIs.
  • Analyze data to make recommendations to improve existing campaigns, forecast and develop new strategies that will inform future decisions.
  • Partner with the data intelligence team to develop dashboards to measure campaign success.
  • Develop and deliver management reporting materials, reports and presentations.
  • Manage one or more Paid Media Associates.

  • 3+ years of experience developing and driving paid strategy of complex digitally focused acquisition marketing campaigns.
  • Extensive experience using any of the following advertising management tools such as: Search Ads 360, Google Ads Editor, Bing Ads Editor, Meta, etc.
  • Experience communicating effectively with creative and technical teams to develop cohesive strategies for campaign execution.
  • Data-focused and analytically-minded with a passion for marketing.
  • Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.), SQL or SSAS/other database/analysis packages.
  • The ideal candidate is proactive, has a positive attitude, is well-organized, and is adept at managing competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced and often changing environment, with an inclination to solve new problems and learn new skills.
  • Demonstrated quantitative skillset and can think creatively to decide testing methodologies and oversee optimization of campaigns to deliver results.

  • Charlotte Compensation Range: $90,000 - $130,000*
  • NYC Compensation Range: $90,000 - $160,000*
