Job Description

As an MIS team member, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making within an organization. You will work with large and complex datasets, utilize various data analysis techniques, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract meaningful information from data. Your ability to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities from data will be instrumental in guiding strategic decisions and optimizing business processes.

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Utilize statistical techniques to perform data modeling, forecasting, and predictive analysis.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and data quality enhancement.
  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis requests to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis.
  • Utilize expertise in creating complex Excel spreadsheets, crafting complex service now reports, and leveraging service now and PowerBI.
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from data and effectively communicate them to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Work with medium to large datasets from multiple data sources, including data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand business requirements and formulate relevant metrics for reporting.
  • Deliver on urgent, same-day requests (at most/all time zones) which arise from internal and external sources to address urgent new risks or performance concerns.
  • End to end Ownership trait.
  • Consistently review and improve the reporting mechanism. 

Skills & Knowledge Requirements: -

  • Familiarity with working on medium to large datasets and data extraction techniques.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, with a focus on extracting insights from large datasets.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Extensive Knowledge of ServiceNow.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Power BI, or similar) to create compelling visualizations and reports.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for data-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience working with machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
  • Experience in formulating business metrics and generating reports.
  • Excels functions proficiency (expert level with Excel Pivots, Macros, lookups, complex functions)
