Senior Associate, Investment

Position Summary:

B Capital is looking for an Investment Senior Associate, based in Qatar. We are looking for a candidate with an incredible drive to assist in the end-to-end investment process for our MENA fund team. Primary responsibilities will be helping identify new investment opportunities through research-driven sourcing, researching markets and sector trends, evaluating deals, and conducting detailed business and financial due diligence across Middle East. The individual will work across all our primary industry verticals – Technology/AI, consumer enablement, financial services/insurance, and healthcare IT. The role requires maturity, flexibility, intellectual curiosity, and a proven track record of taking ideas and quickly turning them into action.

Role/Title will be commensurate with working experience.

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market research

• Develop market research and investment theses to guide sourcing efforts and build partnerships
• Source new investment opportunities based on investment themes and research.
• Establish relationships with founders and create a deep network of start up & venture capital professionals

Deal screening, sourcing and evaluation

• Evaluate and assess the viability of investment materials we receive from potential companies.
• Proactively source deals in market through an established network.
• Lead key pieces of diligence on investment opportunities and deal processes (e.g., audit, tax, legal, financial modeling, etc.).

Building company value

• Deliver high-touch support to our portfolio companies across a number of operating areas.
• Utilize the firm’s and BCG’s networks to connect companies with highest value customer targets.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Economics/Math/Physics
• 3–4 years of experience in management consulting or investment banking, complemented by additional experience in venture capital or private equity
• Excellent communication skills and business writing capabilities
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Prior Venture Capital/Private Equity team experience in consulting/investment banking is preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, as required by the role
• This role shall be based in Doha, Qatar
