About Global Markets

CBA’s Global Markets division is responsible for the Trading and Sales activities in financial markets encompassing all Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and Interest Rate products.  The Global Markets Sales team play an important part in enhancing our client’s success by making global markets easy to navigate.

Your Team

The Markets Direct team provides Foreign Exchange and Deposit product dealing and support to meet the needs of clients (existing and new) within Business Bank (BB). 

Your Impact and Contribution

As a Senior Associate in Markets Direct you’ll be an integral team member who provides exceptional service and support to CBA Business Banking customers, transacting primarily through our electronic channels and delivering great client outcomes with respect to their on-going FX needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strong relationships with sales teams and stakeholders.
  • Educate and assist, as the first point of contact, for the internal (bankers) and external (customers) for FX and FX linked products.
  • Work with Bankers, Global Markets Specialists and Account Managers to facilitate seamless activation for customers with FX needs, ensuring a smooth and timely customer experience.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Business Banking clients
  • Drive retention, adoption and active usage of FX and Payments services across multiple channels but with a particular focus on digital channels.

To be successful, our ideal candidate will bring proven sales success and client relationship management experience. You’ll be a self-motivated individual who is performance driven and has a growth mindset. In addition we are seeking:

  • Previous financial services or other relevant corporate experience.
  • Proven success in growing a portfolio and/or achieving specific sales and service targets.
  • A deep interest in financial markets products and services
  • Sound business acumen combining excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven commitment to comply with regulations, policies and process.
  • Tertiary qualification and AFMA accreditation are desirable.
