The Opportunity

The Senior Associate, Deal Management, Private Investment Operations will be primarily responsible for ensuring timely and seamless execution of all private deals. They will act as the primary point of contact for the investments group and the subject matter expert for the private deal execution process for all internal and external stakeholders. They will also be responsible for maintaining deal execution-related data and creating actionable insights that can be used enterprise-wide.

Who You'll Work With

The Senior Associate, Deal Management, Private Investments Operations will work in a sub-team within the larger Private Investment Operations team within Finance, closely collaborating with all investment departments that execute private deals, Fund & Direct Ops, Due Diligence and Advisory teams, as well as other stakeholders in Finance, business application owners and users, information technology stakeholders, and third-party providers.

What You'll Do

Deal Execution and Support

  • Ensure timely and seamless execution of private deals for all investment groups.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investments and private deal execution-related requirements.

  • Ensure appropriate sign-offs and operational setups are in place.

  • Review and understand all relevant transaction execution-related documents.

  • Support senior management in the continuous improvement of the deal execution process.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the complete deal execution lifecycle for all internal and external purposes.

Deal Advisory

  • Closely track pre-execution deals, understand and communicate the rationale behind each deal, and describe target investments to senior management.

Stakeholder Management

  • Foster relationships with investment teams and closely collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery from service providers and monitor performance through KPIs.

  • Deliver all team responsibilities professionally, timely, and accurately.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Ensure the highest data quality is maintained for deal execution-related data and metrics for enterprise-wide use.

  • Create actionable insights through analytics and recommend actions based on these insights.

  • Perform continuous monitoring of dashboards and deliver timely, accurate reports, providing recommendations to ensure processes are continuously efficient and provide consumer value.

Training and Development

  • Understand each role your team members play and cross-train within the team on all processes and systems.

  • Constantly update process documents to ensure institutional memory is preserved.

  • Continuously evolve design processes, including experimentation and learning with emerging technologies.

  • Work with senior management and stakeholders to design and implement efficient and effective private structures to house deals.

  • Calculate ongoing costs and benefits of each structure as an input into deal structuring decisions.

  • Work with external parties to set up and manage externally administered SPVs and manage account platforms.

What You'll Need

  • Relevant university degree (such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent relevant experience.

  • CFA/CPA/CAIA certification.

  • 4+ years of related work experience in alternative investment operations.

  • Extensive experience in investment finance processes, especially related to private alternative assets.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think through problems and recommend solutions.

  • Strong quantitative and computer skills (Excel, Data Visualization tools), including an understanding of database concepts.

  • Strong project management and time management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.

  • Understanding of various private investment structures and deal mechanics.

  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines

What we’re offering

The Base Salary range for this level is as follows: $105,000 - $155,000. Individual compensation and placement of this role in the range is based on different factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies, and internal equity as they relate to the role.
