Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team and help build deep learned models for cutting-edge applications in healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, large language models and their practical applications in healthcare, as well as experience with modern MLOps practices. Your contributions will be instrumental in developing key applications used by healthcare and life sciences researchers to pioneer new therapies. You'll thrive in our dynamic, highly collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement deep learning models for healthcare applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand healthcare-specific requirements and translate them into ML solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML, particularly in healthcare applications
• Implement and maintain MLOps practices to ensure efficient model development, deployment, and monitoring
• Optimize model performance and scalability for production environments
• Conduct data analysis and feature engineering to improve model accuracy and efficiency
• Participate in research activities and contribute to scientific publications when appropriate

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on deep learning
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Experience with healthcare data and applications of AI in the medical field
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., version control, CI/CD for ML, model monitoring)
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for model training and productization

Desired Attributes

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7)
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) for medical text analysis
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
