About us:
The mission of the  mmWave Automotive Radar Group is to improve safety in future cars by building high performance sensors for collision avoidance and pedestrian detection. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and self-driving cars are highly complex systems that require integration of intelligent sensors and complex software.  mmWave technology allows to develop high performance sensors that allow to detect objects and compute the range, velocity and angle of these objects. 
Role Overview:
This position provides a unique opportunity to work on cutting edge Mixed signal high frequency millimeter wave technology. The individual will be responsible for building reference designs for Automotive Driver Assistance Systems(ADAS) , Automated Parking. It will also provide the opportunity to work closely with marketing team to enable whole product launch and provide direct support to key automotive customers.
What you will be doing:

  • Provide technical applications support to the company's sales staff, Field Applications Engineers as well as Mass Market customer support and direct support to customers.  In addition, work closely with 3rd parties to integrate their solution into mmWave Radar Ecosystem.
  • Create reference designs, requiring system design expertise, hardware, software integration and verification knowledge.
  • Implement fully functional demonstration systems in the form of C/C++ code for customers, in order to solve their technical issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams from concept to production of SoC
  • Develop technical documentation including TRM, application notes, data sheets, user guides, design notes and white papers.
  • Conduct internal as well as customer training, thru training events like FAE summits, TI Tech Days or written materials. 
Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant embedded software experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or related field
  • Basic understanding of Digital Signal processing 
  • Experience developing and debugging embedded software (RTOS or bare metal) on ARM MCUs or DSPs
  • Experience with peripherals such as UART, SPI or I2C


Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Radar Signal Processing
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab
  • Basic knowledge of Python
  • Experience with secondary bootloaders
  • Experience with LIN, CAN, Ethernet
