We are seeking an experienced Android developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. Our mobile apps support our Enterprise, SMB, and Consumer businesses. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, clinical and sales teams, and other engineers to deliver exceptional experiences on Android devices.
As Senior Android Engineer at Eko, You Will:
- Play a key role in developing software features used by physicians and clinical personnel to monitor cardiac health
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Android applications
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
- Collaborate with backend developers to define and integrate APIs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive
As Senior Android Engineer at Eko, You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of industry experience with Android development including Kotlin
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
- Experience with Bluetooth technology and integrating Bluetooth capabilities into Android applications.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality Android applications to the App Store
- Deep understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
- Knowledge of UI/UX standards and guidelines for Android
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
As a Senior Android Engineer, We Would Appreciate If You Have:
- Experience working with medical devices or apps in a regulated environment
- Good understanding of HIPAA compliance
- Experience with EHRs (SMART on FHIR, HL7v2, etc.)
