POSITION TITLE: Senior Analytics Engineer, 2
POSITION DUTIES: Bridge gaps between the business and tech, scaling access to insights in order to empower better decision-making across the organization. Daily duties include: Create well-documented and robust data marts that empower analysts, data scientists and application developers to gain valuable data insights; Partner closely with other Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, and our business partners to make data insights broadly accessible; Perform exploratory data analytics and collaborate on designing analytical data models in order to enable a data-driven culture; Champion coding standards and best practices by actively participating in code reviews and working to improve our internal tools and build process; and Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and integrity with testing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems Engineering, a related field or foreign equivalent, plus 3 years of experience in any occupation where data analytics experience was gained. Experience must include: 3 years of experience in SQL; 2 years of DBT (data build tool) experience or experience using similar data modeling tools; 3 years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g. DataStudio, Looker, Tableau and/or any similar data visualization tools); 2 years of experience in a business-facing analytical role; and 2 years of experience working with data warehouse tools such as BigQuery and SnowFlake.
Role permits full-time telecommuting. Must be available during normal business hours U.S. ET. Must be willing to travel to office locations (Des Moines, IA and New York, NY) approx. 2-4 times per year for onsite meetings and visits.
