The Role

Senior Analyst, Portfolio Insights will report to the Senior Manager, Insights and be a valuable contributor to the Development Team and cross functional program sub-teams. The role will be part of the early commercial team and will support competitive intelligence (CI) and market research capabilities for BlueRock’s portfolio. Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented setting with cross-functional stakeholders and flexibility in executing different types of projects in multiple therapeutic areas is critical. Key internal partners for this position include research, new product planning, clinical development, regulatory, medical affairs, and technical operations.

Senior Analyst, Portfolio Insights

  • Synthesize findings from CI and primary & secondary research to report actionable insights
  • Establish and manage relationships with external market research and competitive intelligence vendors
  • Support design, creation, and implementation of CI capabilities leveraging digital tools to effectively organize and deliver intelligence to respective stakeholders
  • Provide CI coverage for medical conferences including development of Key Intelligence Topics and Key Intelligence Questions, vendor selection and management, planner development, on-site support, and creation and completion of deliverables
  • Maintain up to date CI trackers for each indication and provide relevant and timely competitor updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Lead vendor selection, design and execution of primary market research projects including managing vendors to deliver actionable insights to support program goals
  • Respond to ad hoc insights requests
  • Execute insights projects upholding stringent quality, compliance and accuracy standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2- 4 years of equivalent professional experience with bachelor’s degree or 1+ years professional experience with advanced degree in a STEM field
  • Global pharma/biotech or life science consulting experience required
  • Experience in executing competitive intelligence and market research projects required
  • Track record of vendor management to execute projects preferred
  • Detail oriented self-starter with the demonstrated ability to analyze, synthesize and present both business and scientific content
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Familiarity with industry secondary data sources and comfort with search techniques
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Travel estimated to be 10-15%
