Department Overview

Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) manages TD Bank's non-trading market risk, liquidity risk, and capital positions. The Liquidity Risk Management (LRM) group is responsible for managing liquidity positions across Retail and Wholesale Banking in line with regulatory and internal frameworks.

Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Wholesale Liquidity Risk Management, is a key team member involved in monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting liquidity risk for TD Securities. The role focuses on contributing to analytics and insights to support decision-making and liquidity risk management processes through data visualization and data science techniques.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the monitoring of liquidity metrics including LCR, NCCF, and NSFR and analysis of wholesale businesses
  • Support forecasting activities by preparing analysis and assisting in maintaining liquidity models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Treasury, Risk, and business lines to gather relevant information and provide insights.
  • Develop liquidity analytics and visualizations (e.g., dashboards) to enhance monitoring, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Apply data science techniques (e.g., data modeling, statistical analysis, scenario analysis) to improve liquidity insights and risk identification.
  • Prepare materials and analysis to support senior management reporting and decision-making.
  • Support regulatory submissions, policy reviews, and ad hoc liquidity analyses.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to ensure strong governance and control.

Job Requirements

  • Foundational experience or exposure to Treasury, Capital Markets, Liquidity Risk, or Finance/Accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and support problem-solving.
  • Ability to contribute to solving structured and moderately complex problems.
  • Developing stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to explain analysis clearly.
  • Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance.
  • Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, SQL, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with data science concepts, statistical analysis, and building analytical models is an asset.

Education & Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, treasury, or capital markets (co-op/internship experience considered).
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Progress toward professional designation (CPA, CFA, FRM) is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of wholesale banking products is beneficial.

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
