Position Summary
As ICU Medical transitions to Workday, this role will support the implementation of Workday Core HCM and Reporting/Analytics by assisting with requirements documentation, testing, data validation, reporting, and post-go-live support. Working under the direction of the Workday Program Manager and senior project team members, this position will partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and implementation partners to help ensure global requirements are captured, system functionality is validated, and Workday is implemented in a consistent, scalable, and user-friendly way.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Workday Core HCM and Reporting/Analytics implementation activities, including requirements documentation, testing, data validation, issue tracking, and reporting support.
- Partner with global HR, Payroll, IT, and implementation partners to gather, document, and validate global business requirements for Workday Core HCM and reporting solutions.
- Participate in design workshops and support Workday design decisions that promote global process consistency, scalability, data integrity, compliance with local requirements, and efficient user experience.
- Assist with configuration review, test scenario and test script development, system and user acceptance testing, defect tracking, data conversion validation, and cutover/go-live readiness activities.
- Provide Workday expertise as ICU Medical transforms its HR processes from current systems to a more standardized, scalable, and optimized global HR technology platform.
- Collaborate with global HR stakeholders to ensure Workday supports day-to-day operations, enables process harmonization, and balances global standardization with regional and local business requirements.
- Develop working knowledge and provide support for assigned Workday modules, business processes, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop, validate, and maintain Workday custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and analytics for HR, Payroll, Finance, and senior leadership, including metrics such as headcount, turnover, workforce trends, and other HR operational measures.
- Post go-live, provide production support, including researching and resolving system issues, unexpected results, process gaps, data discrepancies, and reporting concerns; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet business needs based on Workday capabilities.
- Coordinate with functional stakeholders and support system-related projects and initiatives, including Workday releases, adoption of new functionality, business process configuration changes, planning, implementation, testing, and communication.
- Proactively audit data for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usability to ensure integrity of core systems, interfaces, security, and reporting.
- Support special projects and other HR technology initiatives as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Workday Core HCM concepts, including business processes, organizations, supervisory structures, staffing models, job and position structures, security considerations, and related configuration concepts.
- Experience creating, validating, and maintaining Workday reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and HR analytics.
- Strong analytical ability to understand system functionality, interfaces, data structures, and downstream business impacts.
- Advanced Excel skills and/or other reporting tools, with demonstrated ability to analyze data in meaningful and impactful ways.
- Ability to translate global business requirements into scalable HR technology solutions while balancing standardization, local requirements, and user experience.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, security, reporting controls, and HRIS audit principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage through ambiguity, competing priorities, and project deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with complex datasets, system configurations, and business process dependencies.
- Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT business processes and interdependencies.
- Natural self-starter and creative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience, is preferred.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in Human Resources Information Systems is required.
- Previous Workday experience is required, including experience supporting Workday Core HCM and/or Workday reporting.
- Experience participating in at least one Workday implementation, optimization, or major enhancement project is strongly preferred.
- Experience developing or supporting Workday reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and HR analytics is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting global HR processes, multi-country requirements, or complex organizational structures is preferred.
- Experience with requirements gathering, test planning, user acceptance testing, data validation, reporting, and post-go-live support is preferred.
Work Environment
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
