The Role

Description

As Senior Finance Analyst for Nike EMEA Marketing, you will be a finance leader across all  Marketing management & functions in Nike for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and serve as a critical member of the Nike Marketing Finance team. In this role you'll act as a Business Partner with a growth mindset, bringing a self-starter and can-do attitude to enable the voice of the Brand, that makes consumers feel the power of sport with Nike. This unique challenge requires a curious, flexible and problem-solving oriented individual to provide insights on data and management across the Nike Marketing Finance ecosystem of partners; where consumer evidence, data, and science are utilized to activate sales and build the Brand. You will be part of a team integrating and elevating how one of the biggest Brands in the world, Nike, is sourcing and managing marketing funds, providing advisory services to a broad spectrum of decision-makers and operators, and serving as a strategic thought partner in pursuit of our purpose and mission.

This role helps drive the execution of the marketing investments process to deploy resources that create and deliver growth and profitability for Nike, both in season and in the long run. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Report Consolidation: prepare & analyse the financial reports required for the regular close, forecast & budget process, connect the dots and build a consolidated overview of Demand Creation spend.
  • Challenge the status quo and champion an end-to-end process improvement approach to adjust ways of working and embed the financial fundamentals.
  • Collaborate with key cross functional partners to ensure alignment and data quality.
  • Maintenance of our data strategy ensuring accuracy, identifying potential issues, and coming up with creative solutions.
  • Prepare month-end deliverables and partner with Controlling and Central Planning teams to ensure accurate financial reports inclusive of pre-payments, accruals, GR/IR maintenance, and cross-charges.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Finance and will be part of a small and nimble Marketing Finance team that provides best in class strategic, analytical, and financial support to a broad ecosystem of partners. You will be partnering with Brand Planning & Operations, Procurement, Controlling, FP&A, and a broad range of Marketing stakeholders. You will also be a part of our Finance Planning community, which oversees overall Geo financial plans.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a business-related field with emphasis in Finance, Business Administration and Accounting.
  • Experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, Return on Investment analysis, and Financial modeling.
  • Strong Nike Business Insight. Quantifies risks, assesses trends and opportunities, and creates recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills with the ability to translate sophisticated analysis into clear and compelling narratives.
  • Proven track record to operate optimally in agile working environments and communicating effectively with teammates while handling multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter who pro-actively brings new ideas and initiatives.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data across various systems and tools and be able to create sharp visualizations.
  • Positive energy, confidence, integrity, and passion for the Brand.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, expert Excel user preferred – experience with SAP (COPA, BW, ECCS) or other BI tools is preferred
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
