We are currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our company.

ATI seeks a Senior Data Analyst to join our company. The ideal candidate for this position has deep experience with Medicare and Medicaid data. This individual will have experience both analyzing Medicare and Medicaid data and translating complex results into understandable and actionable findings. They will develop and execute complicated analytic projects that are descriptive, evaluative, business intelligence, and financial in nature. They may lead analytic-focused client engagements and will provide strong client services orientation; have experience and comfort in building analyses from conception to client delivery; have familiarity with health policy issues in Medicare and Medicaid; and have an interest in growing with the company.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage, ideate, execute, quality-check, and communicate research and data projects with teams and independently across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Conduct analyses drawing on Medicare and Medicaid administrative data and research files, as well as public data files.
  • Solve data needs and identify solutions for teams and clients across the company by advising colleagues on methods, analyses, and datasets.
  • Perform efficient statistical programming and quality checks in R and SAS with strong attention to detail and minimal oversight.
  • Create financial models in Excel or R related to healthcare, policy, and business outcomes.
  • Develop statistical methods for analyses that overcome limitations and leverage complex data.
  • Communicate analysis findings and data considerations to project teams, clients, conference attendees, and other external audiences through publications and presentations.
  • Translate data results into policy considerations and deliver data-backed recommendations to clients or colleagues.
  • Create informative data visualizations and develop and tell clear stories that emerge from analysis.

Requirements – Technical

  • Portfolio of research or analytic work on Medicare and/or Medicaid, including with claims data.
  • Professional experience executing research analyses revolving around healthcare policy, economics, or business.
  • Professional use of R and Excel required, with additional exposure to SAS preferred.
  • Experience writing and visualizing research results to convey findings and methods, with experience tailoring content for an intended audience.
  • Either a graduate degree in economics, public policy, public health, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, or another related field; or an undergraduate degree with compensatory work experience.
  • 4-8 years of relevant analytics work experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience analyzing complex Medicare and/or Medicaid datasets (claims, encounters, public use files, surveys, etc.).

  • Experience prioritizing multiple high-priority and complex tasks, each with competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, including ability to work efficiently to produce accurate and high-quality deliverables.
  • Ability to problem solve independently, pivot quickly based on client needs, and work with incomplete information.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and findings effectively into relevant insights – visually, verbally, and in writing.
  • High level of initiative, quick learning ability, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment as a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • High degree of professional maturity.
