Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Analyst to join our Data Operations Team, specializing in Securities Reference and Index Data. Reporting to the Manager of Data Operations, you will leverage your passion for asset management and expertise in data management to build and support critical data operations across the trading lifecycle, including security set-ups, security master, and index data. In this role, you will help design and maintain daily operational processes such as playbooks, reporting, notifications, and data quality checks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Team Summary
The Data Operations team plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Reference and Index data across the trading lifecycle. We manage essential daily processes such as security setups, reconciliations, and data quality checks. As part of the Data Platforms mandate, we provide the foundation for consistent, scalable, and reliable Enterprise Data Management.

Accountabilities:
As a Senior Analyst in Data Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our data processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute core operational activities such as managing corporate actions data, setting up securities, performing reconciliations, addressing data consumer inquiries, and resolving data exceptions promptly.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity, proactively identifying issues, take discretion to resolve issues, and communicate transparently to internal stakeholders.
- Drive automation and process optimization to ensure smooth execution of data operations and adherence to business SLAs.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, incorporating key data management principles and supporting operational process enhancements.
- Enhance data infrastructure through initiatives like improving metadata quality and strengthening data integrity controls.
- Institutionalize knowledge of data used in investment processes, creating a foundation for consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate with technology teams to design and implement data tools, analytics, and operational workflows that improve efficiency and insight.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by evaluating new vendor offerings and identifying opportunities to integrate them into data operations.
- Identifying opportunities to integrate them into data operations, including emerging AI-driven tools and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, or another quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data operations or a related field.
- Familiarity with leading financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, S&P, and Refinitiv, and their product offerings. A solid understanding of index methodologies and rebalancing processes is an asset.
- Knowledge of Security & Entity Master platforms such as EDM - S&P Global (formerly IHS Markit), Eagle, Bloomberg PolarLake, or GoldenSource is preferred.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Python experience is nice to have
- Proven ability to respond effectively to business partner needs and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent understanding of key financial data management concepts, including security master data, financial statement data, pricing, and market data.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets with the ability to interpret economic news and market conditions; progress toward CFA designation is a plus.
