Job Description
Checkout.com is actively seeking an ambitious and talented Senior Analyst, Cost of Sales Operations – New Products with previous experience in complex financial data analysis and its translation into business requirements to join our growing Finance team.
The Senior Analyst will support the team on interchange and scheme fees related analysis, implementation and testing. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, laser-focused and highly organised individual. You must be a team player when it comes to getting the job done and assisting whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output.
How you’ll make an impact
Analyse interchange and scheme fees updates from Card Schemes and other acquiring channels
Interact with Card Schemes representatives on interchange and scheme fees research or inquiries
Translate upcoming interchange and scheme fees updates into business requirements and implement these in Checkout.com pricing engine accurately and within deadline
Coordinate with Product and Technology on requirements relating to interchange and scheme fees updates implementation
Collect, understand and convey interchange and scheme pricing business requirements for given projects (new features, product launches, global expansion)
Review and promptly attend to requests through Checkout.com ticketing system
Help document processes
Work closely with the Reconciliation function to streamline processes and action on recommendations following interchange and scheme fees billing reconciliation
Participate actively in project work and product initiatives
Other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
1-3 years of experience in an operational or analytical role within financial services, e-commerce, or a similar high-volume transaction industry
Good understanding of Card Schemes and Payments Processing
Strong analytical skills, paired with meticulous attention to detail, for interpreting complex datasets to support business decisions
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Flexible, adaptable and willing to maintain knowledge and skills with an emphasis on continuous learning about new trends
Ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams
Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment and sometimes shifting priorities
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with SQL server and BI tools is a plus
Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills at all levels
A bachelor’s degree and other relevant specialised professional qualifications or training
