Position Overview
The Investment Operations Senior Analyst / Associate performing this role will be responsible for coordinating the settlement of private debt co-investment loans, managing capital calls, monitoring cash across multiple private debt investment funds, and supporting the day-to-day operations of fund partnership vehicles. The Investment Operations Senior Analyst / Associate will be in contact with professionals across the company and will work closely with team members in both in La Jolla and other StepStone offices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Allocate loans to relevant investment funds in accordance with the Allocation Policy
- Treasury (Cash management including capital calls, distributions, and monitoring of drawdowns)
- Management of credit and leverage facilities; assist in arranging borrowing and repayments
- Cash management of existing and new CLO products; coordinating transactions with internal and external parties
- Work closely with number of external loan managers, Administrators and Custodians
- Monitor data quality and ensure bookings are recorded in a timely manner
- Support the investment team in the closing of transactions by responding to information requests and providing other support and analysis as needed
- Assist in ad-hoc report production
- Assist the team with day-to-day operations of private debt platform
- Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
For the position at hand, we seek applicants with 1 – 4 years’ work experience and a bachelor degree from a top-tier college or university. The following factors will definitely be a benefit for the potential candidates:
- Demonstrates commitment, accuracy and attention to detail, even in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated with a passion for the industry
- Middle office experience in an asset manager preferred
- Prior exposure to cash management, credit lines and FX instructions preferred
- Experience with Private Debt asset class a plus
- Experience in fund accounting

Salary Range - $80,000 - $110,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
