Senior Analyst, Accounting

Why this job’s a big deal:
This hands-on, high-potential accounting professional will work closely with the Senior Manager of Accounting and will be responsible for critical tasks that will help finalize Priceline’s financial results. This individual will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of the division’s journal entries and account reconciliations, and to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting.
A successful candidate will possess the communication skills and business acumen necessary to interact with multiple teams within Priceline and BHI.
In this role you will get to:

Responsible for various functions within the accounting department including participating in the monthly-close process, including attending various month-end close calls, preparation of journals and completion of monthly analytics.

Responsible for the oversight of managing the following revenue streams including marketing revenue , various third party incentives and overrides as well as managing the reserves for open A/R balances and failed transactions.

Prepare reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts monthly; resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis.

Be responsible for analyzing specific accounts and providing robust commentary on the fluctuations of these accounts each month

Play a role in finance transformation and modernization efforts including system implementations and functional optimization

Work with our FP&A team in researching and investigating areas of unusual or significant activity

Work closely with our Corporate partners providing various information as requested in a timely manner

Assist with requests from the Priceline GL team, risk and controls, internal audit, external audit, and Booking Holdings, Inc.

Recommend improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of deliverables

Perform ad hoc financial analysis
Who you are:

4-6+ years total experience, preferably with a GL team of a global company and/or Big 4 accounting firm.

BS in a related discipline, CPA preferred

Familiarity with Oracle, Blackline and OneStream desired

Excel intermediate to advanced proficiency required

Experience working in an environment requiring quick turn around and in-depth financial analysis

Good organizational and work management skills with the ability to manage and track multiple projects/tasks simultaneously

Strong analytical background and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Unquestionable Integrity and Ethics
There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000.
