We are hiring an experienced Senior Amazon Developer to support the build and evolution of a new Amazon Connect platform within our customers Contact Centre Technology team.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will play a key part in designing and delivering core voice capabilities, with a clear roadmap to customer-facing channels, digital expansion (e.g. WhatsApp, chatbots), and AI-powered features.
Working within a small, collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to shape the platform as it evolves, contributing to both initial delivery and future enhancements. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in an autonomous environment, is comfortable working with evolving requirements, and enjoys taking ownership from design through to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build core contact flows within a new Amazon Connect instance, supporting initial co-live delivery
- Configure routing profiles, queues, and platform structures aligned to best practices and team standards
- Integrate third-party case management functionality into the wider Amazon Connect ecosystem
- Implement AI-driven capabilities, including Agent Assist and conversational AI features
- Work with out-of-the-box Amazon Connect Agent Workspace
- Support security and compliance integration, including tooling such as Sycurio
- Contribute to proof-of-concept and continuous improvement work across delivery phases
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Technology Leads, Architects, and Operations
- Flex across multiple workstreams and support platform enhancements where required
- Take ownership of deliverables, working independently to drive progress in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Required Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, including designing and building contact flows
- Solid knowledge of AWS services, particularly Lambda, Lex, and broader AI capabilities within AWS
- Experience working with Amazon Connect Agent Workspace and out-of-the-box features
- Understanding of conversational AI and AI-driven contact centre solutions
- Familiarity with source control practices (e.g. Git, branching, code reviews)
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, taking ownership of delivery
- Experience working in agile, fast-moving environments with evolving requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with Sycurio (or similar compliance/security tooling within Amazon Connect environments)
- Exposure to case management functionality within Amazon Connect
- Experience implementing callback flows, chatbots, and WhatsApp or other digital channels on Connect
- Familiarity with Amazon Connect out-of-the-box reporting and analytics
- Exposure to Amazon Connect AI Agents or similar emerging AI capabilities within AWS
- Previous experience working in a contact centre technology environment
