The Role
As a Senior AI Engineer at Summation, you will be a key contributor to our AI-driven business planning and analytics platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and scale the core AI systems that power our solutions. Your work will focus on creating, optimizing, and deploying advanced GenAI models that deliver high performance, reliability, and tangible customer impact. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product, design, and data science—to translate complex business challenges into innovative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Model Development: Design, implement, and refine state-of-the-art AI and machine learning models to enhance business planning and analytics. Work with product and data science teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

• Collaborative Problem Solving: Address complex challenges involving large-scale data processing, financial modeling, and system integration by leveraging deep expertise in AI/ML technologies. Apply cutting-edge algorithms and methodologies to solve problems with direct customer impact.

• Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable code for AI systems and algorithms while performing code reviews to ensure adherence to industry best practices. Architect efficient, reusable components for model training, deployment, and inference.

• Continuous Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Champion innovation within the engineering team to continually enhance our platform’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with significant exposure to AI and machine learning projects.

• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.

• Experience working with large-scale data processing and data-intensive systems; familiarity with financial data modeling is a plus.

• Proven track record of developing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions in production environments.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on creating elegant, scalable solutions for complex business challenges.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
