Collaborate with architecture and regulatory teams to meet IEC 62304 requirements, while coaching development teams and establishing reusable standards for AI adoption across R&D.
Summary Generated by Built In
FOR MORE THAN 80 YEARS, Natus has been committed to serving the varying needs of clinicians, delivering the highest-quality solutions to raise the standard of care for patients everywhere.
Our comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic  sensory solutions are designed to simplify workflows for sensory specialists, ensuring care teams have the right instrumentation to give patients the right support — and greater peace of mind.

Job Function: Engineering | Job Family: Software Engineering

The opportunity

Otometrics, a division of Natus Sensory, builds audiology devices that help clinicians make better decisions for their patients. Our R&D organisation develops the software, hardware and systems behind those devices, and we are at an inflection point in how AI shapes that work.

AI is changing how software gets written. In a regulated environment, every change must still be reviewed and traceable. You will bridge these needs building an AI enabled workflow with our software architect and developers, show the teams how to use it, and own it as it grows. You will report to the Director of Digital Solutions & Technology.

What you will do

  • Build with AI-assisted development alongside out developers and turn what works into reference implementations and standards.
  • Set up the missing pieces: CI/CD for AI-assisted work, shared agent components, connectors to authoritative sources such as PLM, test management and regulatory document repositories, governance and data residency controls, and usage and cost tracking.
  • Work with the software architect to keep the architecture and module boundaries clear enough for agents to work within safely.
  • Work with our RA/QA colleagues so AI-assisted work meets IEC 62304 and our quality system.
  • Bring our development teams along: pair, coach, demo and document until AI-assisted development is how the teams work, not one person's specialty.
  • Represent our AI work on the R&D AI Board: keep initiatives and KPIs visible and make sure what you build is reusable across teams.

What we are looking for

  • You are a strong engineer first: architecture, modularity, CI/CD and automated testing.
  • You use AI coding tools daily and know where they help, where they create risk, and when to write the code by hand.
  • You have built and run LLM or agent systems in real use, with a way of checking their quality.
  • You can explain your work to developers across sites, cultures and time zones.
  • You are comfortable being first and working out missing pieces in a large organisation.
  • You are fluent in English (our company language).
  • You are based in Denmark, with 40% onsite time at our R&D site in Taastrup.

Nice to have: experience where compliance matters (IEC 62304 / ISO 13485 is a bonus, and we will teach the rest); [C#/.NET and Windows desktop, confirm]; local or self-hosted models.

What we offer

  • A chance to do this for real: what you build becomes how our developers work.
  • Class I and II medical devices developed under IEC 62304, real constraints and a high-quality bar.
  • Close collaboration with the software architect, international teams, and a leadership teams that wants this to work.
  • A leadership team that wants this to work and will clear the path.
  • Scope and influence that grow as AI adoption grows. We are looking for a hands-on expert, not a people manager.

Compensation and Benefits: Along with a competitive salary and pension scheme, we offer a convenient location with private parking lot, as well as close proximity to a bus stop or within biking distance to the train station. You can look forward to catered lunch in the company canteen, breakfast on Thursdays, friendly and talented colleagues, and continuous learning opportunities.
