This role designs and optimizes AI cloud infrastructure to support high-performance AI workloads. By implementing scalable data storage, high-parallel computing, and robust security frameworks, the AI Cloud Architect ensures a seamless, secure, and cost-efficient AI ecosystem that bridges legacy systems with modern AI capabilities.

• Design and implement scalable data infrastructure to support AI workloads, ensuring efficient storage and processing.

• Architect high-parallel systems optimized for training and inferencing large scale AI deployments with focus on LLMs and generative AI.

• Define and enforce best practices for security, privacy, and compliance in AI data handling and model deployment.

• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI models with the cloud infrastructure.

• Optimize resource usage, cost-efficiency, and system performance for large-scale AI deployments.

• Integrate legacy systems with modern AI infrastructure, ensuring interoperability and data flow consistency.

• Cooperate with Cloud operations team to design and implement a resource effective operations concept for large scale operation

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Architecture, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on AI, data infrastructure, and high-performance systems.

• Expertise in designing scalable and efficient data storage and processing infrastructures (e.g., data lakes, distributed databases).

• Proficiency in core cloud concepts like networking, monitoring, identity and access control

• Deep understanding of security and privacy concepts, including encryption, secure access controls, and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in Azure AI and related cloud services, including Azure ML, AI Foundry, Databricks,  Storage/Data Lake  and other cloud database technologies

• Strong knowledge of high-parallel systems, including GPU/TPU clusters and distributed computing frameworks.

• Ideally combined with programming skills (python, sql) and experience with Devops (CI/CD, Azure DevOps or Github).

• Experience with supporting in multi-disciplinary teams for exploration, development and maintenance tasks.

• Experience with system operation concepts and practices.

• Experience as mentor e.x. for engineering
