Description
GXM Technologies is seeking a Senior Agile Program Integration Lead to support advanced defense and space mission programs requiring disciplined Agile execution, complex systems integration, and enterprise-level delivery synchronization. This role provides senior leadership across multiple technical teams and workstreams, using hands-on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices to align planning, technical integration, MVP releases, operational milestones, and Initial Operational Capability (IOC) objectives.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on SAFe execution with technical program integration, systems engineering awareness, release management, and operational mission delivery. This individual will work with Program Managers, Product and Solution Management, engineers, DevSecOps teams, architects, cybersecurity personnel, test organizations, and Government stakeholders to translate priorities into executable Program Increments and synchronized delivery plans.
This role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO due to operational integration and classified mission requirements. Hybrid flexibility may be available over time based on mission requirements, program execution needs and achievement of objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior Agile program integration lead, providing hands-on SAFe execution leadership across multiple technical teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and integrated workstreams.
- Apply SAFe practices to synchronize systems engineering, software, cloud, cybersecurity, data, DevSecOps, integration, test, and operational mission teams against shared program objectives.
- Lead and facilitate SAFe planning and synchronization activities, including: Program Increment (PI) Planning and PI execution; ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, and cross-team coordination; System Demos and Inspect & Adapt events ; Dependency, impediment, and ROAM risk management; MVP, capability release, and integration coordination; Operational milestone and IOC readiness alignment
- Configure and manage Jira, Confluence, and enterprise Agile planning tools to maintain program backlogs, PI objectives, capabilities and features, dependencies, risks, roadmaps, release plans, and delivery visibility.
- Develop and maintain integrated roadmaps, delivery schedules, release plans, and milestone artifacts that align SAFe PI cadence and team commitments with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), technical baselines, operational events, and IOC objectives.
- Facilitate cross-team synchronization, decision-making, and issue resolution across technical teams, mission stakeholders, engineering organizations, Government leadership, and delivery partners.
- Provide hands-on leadership for Agile ceremonies and program-level events, ensuring decisions, dependencies, risks, actions, and commitments are documented and driven to closure.
- Monitor PI objectives, delivery predictability, flow metrics, risks, dependencies, constraints, and operational impacts; lead mitigation, escalation, and corrective action when delivery is at risk.
- Provide program leadership with actionable metrics, Jira dashboards, roadmap reporting, PI status, milestone health, dependency visibility, risk trends, and executive-level reporting.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Enterprise Architects, Chief Engineers, Product and Solution Management, Technical Leads, cybersecurity teams, and mission stakeholders to align Agile execution with engineering and operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of SAFe, Lean-Agile, DevSecOps, and delivery management practices appropriate to classified and mission-critical environments.
- Coordinate configuration management, knowledge management, and documentation alignment so program baselines, Agile artifacts, technical decisions, release content, and delivery evidence remain current and traceable.
- Lead transition planning, release coordination, capability deployment, and readiness synchronization aligned to mission events, MVP demonstrations, and IOC objectives.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business, program management, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, technical program integration, systems integration, release management, software-intensive programs, or operational program execution, including senior responsibility for cross-team delivery.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing and executing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in a complex, multi-team technical environment; certification or classroom knowledge alone is not sufficient.
- Demonstrated experience leading or directly facilitating SAFe program-level activities, including: PI Planning, PI execution, and PI objective management; ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, and dependency coordination; System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, and continuous improvement activities; ROAM risk management, impediment escalation, and cross-team issue resolution; Release planning, capability synchronization, and enterprise delivery visibility
- Strong hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence to configure workflows, dashboards, roadmaps, backlogs, dependencies, reporting, and program-level delivery views supporting SAFe execution.
- Applied knowledge of SAFe Lean-Agile principles, ART execution, backlog hierarchy, capabilities and features, WSJF or comparable prioritization, flow metrics, and value delivery.
- Working knowledge of systems integration, systems engineering, software development, cloud, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, CI/CD, test, and operational mission environments.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and multi-organizational technical teams where execution depends on influence, integration, and stakeholder alignment rather than direct authority.
- Strong understanding of dependency management, release coordination, schedule integration, milestone tracking, delivery synchronization, execution risk, and alignment between Agile plans and program schedules.
- Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in classified, mission-critical, fast-paced environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting operational Command and Control (C2), space mission systems, mission systems integration, or cloud-native operational environments within DoD or the Intelligence Community.
- Experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Jira Align, Structure, BigPicture, Tempo, or equivalent enterprise Agile planning and portfolio management tools.
- Experience serving as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), Senior Scrum Master, Agile Program Lead, or comparable SAFe program-level integration role supporting one or more ARTs.
- Experience integrating SAFe execution with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, software factories, cloud-native delivery, systems engineering, and operational integration.
- Experience supporting operational readiness reviews, MVP releases, system demonstrations, mission rehearsals, operational acceptance, or IOC demonstrations.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC), PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience supporting executive-level reporting, Government stakeholders, U.S. Space Force or Space Systems Command organizations, or multi-contractor defense programs preferred.
