Are you ready to turn up the heat in the world of data engineering? We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Architect to our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:

● Database Design: Designing database structures, creating schemas, tables, and relationships to optimize the storage and retrieval of data.
● Data Modeling: Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent data requirements and relationships.
● ETL Processes: Extract data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and files. Cleaning, normalizing, and transforming data into a usable format. Loading processed data into data warehouses, databases, or other storage systems.
● Database monitoring, performance, security, and integrity.
● Optimizing database queries and configurations to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
● Integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless integration of data from disparate systems to create a unified data view.
● Developing and maintaining APIs and data pipelines for continuous data flow.
● Implementing processes to validate and verify data accuracy and consistency.
● Establishing policies and procedures for data management, including data security and privacy.
● Work with the application development team to help integrate data with APIs and the front-end.
● Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
● Creating and maintaining documentation for data processes, database schemas, and data flow diagrams.
● Explore and research new and alternative technologies and platforms. Evaluate, recommend, and apply these alternative/new technologies, disseminating information throughout the team/department.
● Mentor other team members on area(s) of expertise. Provide technical guidance on a wide range of systems/projects.
Job Qualifications:
Experience Aplenty: 8+ years of hands-on experience in applicable software development environments, showcasing your prowess and ability to excel.
· Educational Symphony: A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, demonstrating your commitment to continuous learning and growth.
· Tech Savvy: Should have demonstrated experience in Cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
. Experience designing how data should be structured in a relational database
Mastery of 1:1, 1:N, M:N relationships, foreign keys, primary keys, and indexes
● Turning business/data requirements into structured models that engineers and analysts can implement.
● Creating ERDs that guide schema development, ETL pipelines, and analytics.
Experience with Oracle and Postgres
● Collaborate seamlessly with the team, responding to requests in a timely manner, meeting individual commitments, and contributing to the collective success.
● Experience coaching, teaching, guiding and mentoring fellow team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
● Experience using generative AI in day-to-day work
● Experience developing solutions that use generative AI to help solve problems
· Business Acumen: Translate business needs into technical requirements with finesse, showcasing your ability to balance technical excellence with customer satisfaction. Use judgement withing defined practices and policies in data engineering.
