We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Advanced Quality Engineer (AQE) to lead quality initiatives tied to New Product Introductions (NPI), new equipment launches, and advanced manufacturing processes. In this impactful role, you’ll help shape world-class manufacturing standards by ensuring new parts, tooling, and processes are successfully integrated into production with quality built in from the start.
This position offers the opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and reducing Cost of Quality (COQ).

As a Senior AQE, you will serve as a key liaison between product design, manufacturing, suppliers, and operations teams to drive successful product and process launches.
Key Responsibilities
Lead qualification activities for new tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes while becoming the subject matter expert for assigned operations
Develop and execute equipment qualification plans in partnership with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) teams and equipment suppliers
Travel to supplier and OEM sites for planning meetings, equipment runoffs, and production builds to ensure readiness before shipment
Drive gage development activities, including design reviews, inspection strategies, and cross-functional approvals
Facilitate dimensional analysis reviews and partner with engineering teams to resolve measurement and capability concerns
Apply advanced quality planning methodologies to embed quality into product and process design early in development
Lead PPAP activities for newly introduced parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
Develop traceability and error-proofing solutions including vision systems, line interlocks, genealogy systems, and poka-yoke methods
Partner with manufacturing teams to create standard work, quality checkpoints, and control documentation
Lead cross-functional PFMEA activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing and process risks before launch
Drive projects focused on reducing scrap, improving yield, lowering concessions, and improving overall Cost of Quality metrics
Interpret technical drawings, GD&T requirements, and MBD data to ensure manufacturing controls align with engineering specifications
Develop and execute measurement strategies using CMMs, 3D scanning systems, metrology tools, and hand gages
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent 5 years’ hands on experience in manufacturing quality disciplines
5+ years of experience with manufacturing quality/NPI quality projects and process improvement
Experience interpreting data to solve problems associated with high volume, short cycle manufacturing of consumer products.
Ability to work within large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members).
Influencer and team player – drive quality metrics but willing to look at the bigger picture.
Good communicator – data driven, makes decisions based on the data. Speaks up in meetings along with leading meetings with a strong passion for world class quality.
Proactive to seeing a problem and eager to drive an innovative sustainable long-term solution without significant direction.
Computer literate and skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Auto Cad, Minitab and Outlook.
Preferred:
Experience using, programming, and interpreting CMM/3D scanning/metrology systems.
Significant experience in implementing Lean process improvements in high volume manufacturing operations.
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification proficient with Minitab.
Experience in metrology / measurement systems, Polyworks.
Proficient with understanding both coordinate and geometric GD&T drawings.
Working Conditions:
Travel: Up to 25% of domestic and international travel may be required to support supplier equipment runoffs
Work is performed in a high-volume manufacturing environment
This role is primarily first shift; however, off-shift and weekend support may be required
