 Overview

Instacart is committed to revolutionizing advertising by connecting consumers with brands they admire through meaningful campaigns that deliver significant outcomes for brands, consumers, and shareholders. As a Senior Ads Solution Manager within the Commercial Excellence team, you will drive data monetization strategies, enhance data product offerings, and contribute substantially to Instacart’s growth and success through innovative data use and product commercialization.


About the Role

As a Senior Ads Solution Manager, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and digital media to develop new data-driven solutions that can be commercialized and monetized, enhancing the connection between brands and Instacart customers. Your role involves:

  • Identifying and implementing applicable use cases for data to enhance advertising strategies.
  • Developing and bringing to market new data products based on client needs and market demand.
  • Working closely with the Sales team to package these data offerings effectively for go-to-market strategies.
  • Analyzing marketing opportunities, understanding assets, and providing recommendations that inform product development and commercial strategies.
  • Collaborating with partners to optimize the use of Instacart’s data to boost media investment through a strategic flywheel effect.
  • Serving as the data expert for the sales teams, guiding them on client engagement.
  • Representing Instacart’s data solutions to external clients when appropriate across various stakeholder levels.

About the Job

  • Conduct deep analysis to determine the most profitable and effective use cases for data-driven strategies and products.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to define and achieve product adoption and revenue targets for new data products.
  • Guide the development and implementation of data products from concept through to commercialization, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Provide leadership partnering with experts in navigating privacy, legal, and regulatory landscapes impacting data usage in advertising.
  • Foster relationships with external client partners and agencies to maximize data utilization and increase overall media investment on Instacart’s Ads platform.


About You
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science)
  • Extensive experience in digital media and understanding the advertising ecosystem, including data flows across ad tech providers.
  • Strong background in privacy, legal, and regulatory aspects of media (e.g., CCPA, GDPR).
  • Familiarity with industry measurement standards and advanced knowledge in the commercialization of data products.
  • Expertise in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data applications, including clean rooms, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), and identity resolution technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of steering senior-level conversations internally and externally.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of developing and bringing data products to market.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and lead in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in guiding sales teams on the use of complex data products.
  • Knowledge of consumer insights and 3rd party measurement solutions for CPG brands and/or the retail industry.
