Job Description
This role utilises expert knowledge in the specific fields of administration / product / process to resolve technical and complex problems, usually in support of administrative queries/issues. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.Duties and Responsibilities
Managing, Updating any changes for Superfund on the Compass system at scheme level.
Ensures smooth running of the Scheme Maintenance team and managing deliveries as per the SLA agreement and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
Technical Functions
• Updates any change request on Compass (system) for Old Mutual SuperFund, Mosaic, Standalone Funds (SACCAWU and SACCA), Group Assurance Products (GAP), Commissions department and Staff Funds.
• Updates Compass and checks any financial changes for own work and others.
• Change requests are received from all the business areas in SuperFund, i.e.
o Data team,
o Finance,
o Annual Review department/Quotes/Implementation/Risk reviews/Special Rules
o OMCCS (Engagement Layer),
o Claims,
o Section 13/Terminations/Section 14 teams, and
o Standalone Funds teams/GAP/Commissions.
• Performs testing for system (Compass) changes and enhancements.
Team Co-ordination and Work Management
• Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the team, escalating to the Team Leader only in exceptional cases.
• Takes full ownership of scheme maintenance work requests, ensuring the team consistently meets service level agreements (SLAs).
• Facilitates daily stand-up meetings to review upcoming deliverables and address any blockers.
• Monitors incoming workload volumes and promptly escalates concerns or risks to the Team Leader.
• Assesses team capacity on a daily basis to effectively manage demand.
• Develops and implements proactive action plans to manage periods of increased volume, ensuring SLA compliance is maintained.
Skills/Competencies/Experience
• Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience with SuperFund and Compass, demonstrating strong subject matter expertise.
• Proven ability to perform and review administrative tasks related to Scheme Maintenance at the scheme level.
• Capable of operating at a senior level with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Solid working knowledge of Compass, Chorus, SuperFund products and processes, along with intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• Able to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
