Position Summary:

The Build-to-Rent Acquisitions team at Progress Residential plays an integral role in reshaping the single-family rental industry while deploying capital into some of the fastest growing markets in the country. The  Acquisitions Associate - BTR is on the cutting edge of using proprietary data, analytics, and A.I. to identify, evaluate, underwrite and inform offer decisions for newly constructed rental homes on behalf of Progress Residential and its investors. Working closely with other members of the BTR team, the candidate will identify, prioritize, underwrite, and prepare investment committee materials for portfolios of newly built and to-be-constructed single-family residential homes.


Essential Functions:

  • Own the BTR data collection process, aggregating BTR data from multiple sources and creating easy-to-use reports for underwriting and general market knowledge.
  • Underwrite, analyze, generate offers and draft investment committee materials for build-to-rent acquisition opportunities.
  • Use proprietary data, visualization tools and models to inform investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance project management, ensuring BTR projects meet all critical timelines.
  • Work cross-functionally with investment, operational, and asset management teams to ensure streamlined onboarding of new BTR projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or related subject) required
  • 3 years experience as a financial, real estate, or banking analyst required
  • Advanced Excel, Power Point, GIS and database management skills
  • Experience with sourcing, collection and management of market research in a high volume, private equity-like environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and deadlines
  • Is self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires abstract thinking and creative solutions
  • Some travel required
