We are seeking a Senior Accountant with deep expertise
in payroll processing, tax compliance, and accounting rules to join our
consulting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end
payroll functions for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with local and
international financial regulations, and providing expert advice on financial
operations and optimization.
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing
for multiple clients.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, social
insurance, and income tax regulations.
- Review and approve payroll entries, adjustments,
and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with HR and clients for accurate
employee data and compensation updates.
- Handle year-end payroll reporting and tax
submissions
- Apply
accounting rules and standards (GAAP/IFRS/local standards) to all
payroll-related financial transactions.
- Prepare
and review journal entries related to payroll, benefits, accruals, and
taxes.
- Lead
monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings related to payroll accounts.
- Support
the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and
external stakeholders.
- Provide
accounting and payroll advisory services to clients across various industries.
- Conduct
financial analysis, identify areas for improvement, and recommend process
optimizations.
- Design
payroll workflows and documentation for new clients onboarding.
- Train
junior accountants and client teams on payroll best practices and compliance updates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards,
tax laws, and payroll regulations.
- Develop and enforce internal controls over payroll and
financial reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and
regulatory bodies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in
payroll accounting and financial consulting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll
systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho).
- In-depth understanding of
accounting principles, payroll taxation, and labour regulations.
- Proficient in MS Excel and
accounting software.
- Excellent analytical,
organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple
clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience
in a consulting firm or BPO/shared service environment.
- Familiarity
with multi-country payroll processing and tax implications.
- Experience
implementing payroll systems or supporting digital transformation in
finance.
