What you'll be doing:
Ensures that projects are invoiced in a timely manner according to contractspecifications and client requirements
Drives accounts receivable collection efforts to ensure client payments are received timely and according to contract terms.
Works closely and diligently with project teams, inclusive of Project Financial Analyst, to understand timelines regarding project milestone deliverables for purposes of assisting in invoicing and cash forecasting.
Assists in reconciliation and roll-forward of project unbilled balances to ensure appropriate accounting through study completion.
Corresponds directly with the operational team and clients with regards to invoice approval expectations as well and client payment expectations and elevates accordingly.
Consistently works on complex projects and determines methods and procedures on new projects
Assists Project Managers and operational project team members with understanding payment schedules and ensures they tie to client budgets.
Supports development of change order payment schedules as needed
Maintains appropriate filing of client invoices and required supporting documents.
Maintains revenue workbooks with adequate payment tracking information and supports system enhancements related to invoicing processes.
Drafts and finalizes all project related invoices on a monthly basis as assigned.
Understands project unbilled report and reviews on monthly basis in conjunction with invoice preparation.
Responsible for providing advice for correct actions regarding project unbilled status
Provides training and support to new staff on department processes
Takes initiative to identify and develop solutions to ensure continuous process improvement
What we are searching for:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Five years + direct experience in Accounts Receivable or other finance functions
Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred but not mandatory
Manages time and project requirements based on study contract.
Strong Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Excel
Knowledge of web based communication tools for conferences
Highly detail oriented
Team player with ability to work collaboratively with other finance functions
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills in English.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Accountable, dependable and strong commitment.
Is customer service focused in approach to work both internally and externally.
Maintains a positive, results orientated work environment.
