Accounts Payable Team is our key stakeholder for all parties involved in processing invoices and employee expenses. Working with the business, individual employees and suppliers, we relish the true Akamai spirit. We provide them with a professional, diligent support and guidance while remaining collaborative, friendly and flexible!
This is fixed-term contract (18 months).
Get involved with exciting projects
This position provides comprehensive exposure to accounting and taxes within a global company operating in over 30 countries. It offers continuous learning opportunities, process development influence, and serves as a key connection for internal and external stakeholders.
As a process leader:
- Managing AP processes assigned to your role based on the regional division and complying with statutory regulations
- Managing and balancing team workload regarding invoice and payment processing and query resolution
- Supporting and releasing payment requests and payment batches and ensure payments are made appropriately and timely
- Building and maintaining the relationships with stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance and SOX controls across AP processes
- Overseeing month-end and year-end close processes (Audit, Tax Reporting, etc)

- Have experience in an Accounts Payable department and previous experience as people leader
- Show excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Show excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills
- Motivate many kinds of direct reports and team or project members
- Have continuous improvement mindset
- Show great Excel skills, including pivot tables and Vlookup's
- Be eager to contribute in a high-growth, fast paced, technology oriented environment
