The position conducts detailed analysis and research across multiple systems to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. In addition, the Senior Analyst leads assigned department processes, maintains procedural documentation, supports cross-functional initiatives, and assists with training and operational support for other team members.
Responsibilities
- Cash Management & Settlement Operations
- Monitor, forecast, and manage the Bank's daily cash settlement positions with the Federal Reserve Bank and correspondent banks.
- Coordinate investment and borrowing activities necessary to maintain appropriate liquidity and settlement balances.
- Initiate and process wire transfers with the Federal Reserve Bank and correspondent banks as needed.
- Import, review, analyze, and reconcile financial reports and cash position data received from multiple internal departments and external institutions.
- Review and process correspondent bank cash letter adjustments.
- Assist with investment and security purchase and sale activities.
- Complete daily Regulation F reporting for correspondent banking relationships.
- Reconciliation & Account Analysis
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations for: Federal Reserve Bank accounts, Correspondent bank accounts, Internal bank accounts, and Assigned general ledger accounts.
- Research, investigate, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and outstanding items in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records through detailed account analysis and review.
- Provide backup support for assigned general ledger reconciliations and teller cash balancing activities, including communicating balancing discrepancies to teller supervisors.
- Journal Entries & Accounting Support
- Prepare and post journal entries in multiple core systems.
- Process entries related to: Federal Reserve Bank activity, Coin and currency transactions, Internal bank accounts, Cash management transactions, Month-end accruals and other accounting adjustments.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes as assigned.
- Review and process indemnity bonds.
- Lead the annual escheatment process for official bank checks.
- Monitor and research stale-dated official bank checks.
- Coordinate disaster-related cashier's check disbursements when necessary.
- Submit federal deposit withholding payments on a biweekly basis.
- Operational Support & Collaboration
- Serve as a subject matter resource for Accounting Operations processes and systems.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and answering questions from Accounting Operations Analysts.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen controls.
- Maintain, update, and enhance Accounting Operations procedures and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, banking regulations, and established procedures.
- Provide backup support for other accounting operations functions as assigned.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners through effective communication and collaboration.

- Experience with cash management, liquidity forecasting, correspondent banking, or settlement operations preferred.
- Experience with Nautilus, Signature, Cognos, Prologue, Wire Exchange, Viewpointe, Federal Reserve systems, or similar applications preferred.
