Our Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for Noble’s Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including but not limited to data entry, AR and AP functions and reporting, journaling & reconciliation of all credit card, bank, and media accounts. In addition, this position processes payroll and 401(k) benefits. Noble’s Senior Accounting Manager also serves as the accounting team’s primary interface to our internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on, results oriented, and fully accountable position, which serves the organization with needed data, while ensuring Noble stays on track financially by creating accurate and timely information. This position must create positive and effective dialogue with all levels of staff. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential tools for success in this role – having a strong understanding of how the agency operates and what makes it successful are also key.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing, maintaining, and updating the annual corporate budget and financial reports, including but not limited to the weekly cash flow, monthly forecast updates, monthly and annual income statements, and ad hoc reports as requested.
- Complete all journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist with creating the monthly reporting package for senior leadership.
- Process and reconcile all accounts payable, including the corporate credit card and bank accounts.
- Submit yearend 1099 information to payroll provider and validate yea-end 1099s issued by payroll provider prior to processing.
- Download payroll reports, prepare payroll journal entries, and reconcile quarterly reports.
- Set up new clients in our ERP (known as Workamajig).
- Review client MSAs and SOWs for pertinent information for completeness and data necessary for invoicing.
- Review SOWs and projects in our ERP, confirm details, move to "live" status and approve project estimates.
- Invoice clients per SOW and Work Order terms.
- Ensure all client invoices are sent each month and/or determine appropriateness of pushing project invoices to future months depending on project schedule delays/changes.
- Set up deferred revenue recognition invoices for retainers and placeholder revenue recognition invoices for projects.
- Recognize and post project earned revenue monthly after Project Manager reporting.
- Follow-up on and communicate past due Accounts Receivables.
- Post client receipts, make bank deposits.
- Download client media invoices and process.
- Develop relationship with business bankers and payroll provider to ensure effective communication.
- Set up new employees and deactivate past employees in our ERP.
- Maintain list of services and rates, as well as salary bands and internal hourly costs.
- Run payroll biwweekly and ensure 401(k) contributions are made timely.
- Close completed projects and send project financial reports to leadership team.
- Back up for other Operations teammembers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience in mid-sized privately held businesses, ideally partnerships, including significant Accounts Payable experience.
- Strong sense of the importance of keeping confidential information confidential.
- Solid understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, journaling, payroll processing, banking, and financial reporting.
- Strong familiarity with job costing, earned revenues and subcontracting.
- Attention to detail and proven ability to create, follow & maintain standard procedures.
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with efficient time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment.

- You must be willing and able to be on-site in our Reno office, as needed, with regular local trips to other locations (such as banks, post office, etc.).
- You must qualify as someone who drives on behalf of Noble Studios, which requires a valid Nevada Driver’s License, 2+ years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and at least $100,000/$30,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage auto insurance coverage.
