Hexcel is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for our Casablanca, Morocco location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Conducting monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities (3rd working day), and thorough analysis of complex accounting issues and preparing the bridge between US and local GAAP
- Tax filing: monthly and yearly declaration
- Reviews monthly intercompany netting process and preparing monthly Balance sheet accounts analysis
- Treasury control: to ensure site cash flow under control in accordance with forecast
- Supervise the daily accounting tasks & check/monitor work of co-workers
- Liaise closely with other departments to ensure consistency and alignment in accounting procedures
- Take a pro-active role in challenging existing practices and looking for improvements in efficiency
- Establish good accounting practice and maintain effective internal control procedures in accounting area
- Establish a robust reporting process with the accounting firm
- Support in setting up the AX system and Sage
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance
- Strong computer skills especially advanced in Microsoft Excel and experience with an enterprise accounting system (Sage and AX)
- Deep knowledge of US and Moroccan GAAP
- Great leadership skills
- Language: French- Fluent, English- Fluent
