Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections tracking, and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Prepare and review cash reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of daily cash activity
- Own Inventory accounting, including posting of inventory consumption to production and ending inventory balances each period.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to revenue, receivables, and cash
- Assist with revenue recognition and related accounting analysis
- Partner with operations and sales teams to resolve billing and collection issues
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting schedules and documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiency
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- CPA required
- 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate accounting)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or high-growth companies a plus
- Experience with accounts receivable, cash reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
