As a Senior Accountant at RSM Toowoomba, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base. You’ll be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and accounting standards. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Partners and clients, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the ongoing success of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;

• Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;

• Assist graduates with work and acts as a mentor/buddy;

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;

• Prepare documents for client meetings with Partner;

• Help identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;

• Prepare and analyses management accounting reports;

• Preparation of income tax returns:

• Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax; and

• Provide general business advisory advice and support to a wide range of client groups

Education requirements:

Essential

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major

Desirable

• Completion of CA or equivalent
